Outstanding running shoe.Oct 05, 2010
By seaybl I had purchase the 2140 before and absolutely loved it. This one is no exception. The only real difference I notice is the heal in this case is a little more snug. I'm using this shoe also after coming off a heal injury. I'm a larger runner so this provides great support and cushioning.

Great Shoe - Great Price - Great Performance!!!Jan 17, 2011
By D. Allen I bought these shoes because I needed a good soft, cushioned running shoe. Previously, I paid almost $140 for the Mizuno Wave and was very dissappointed with the Mizuno Wave. I need a running shoe for heavier runners - I am 230 and muscular. It's clear that price is no indication of what you will get in the running shoe world. I expected the more expensive running shoes to be better, more comfortable than this $70 Asics running shoe and that's just not true with this shoe. With running shoes, there is a point of diminishing return. A $400 running shoe is probably not 4X better and 4X more comfortable than a $100 running shoe. Think about it! This Asics was the best of threee shoes I bought - see the $80 NB 1064 and the $140 Mizuno Wave. I ran and worked out in all 3 running shoes and the Asics was the best of all three. I was most impressed with the Asics 2150, because it cost half of the cost of other "premium" running shoes and was actually a better performer. Next time, I'm going to buy two or three pairs of these Asics and just believe and know it doesn't get much better than this. That's smarter! I'm also posting this same basic review on the Mizuno Waves I bought through Amazon.

Great Road Runners!- 8 month reviewMar 13, 2011
By Mati Shoshani I got this pare for $63. Love the look, and most of all the amazing Quality.
I am at the last two weeks of training for my first marathon- the Jerusalem Marathon (thats ion Israel, where I live).
The material quality is amazing. Shock abzorbing is very good. The shoes are cool and keep your feet dry on long sweaty runs.
Not the lightest shoes, at all. but not abnormally heavy ether.
I run rather lightly on my feet, and these shoes reduce shock to a minimum. I elieve that this shoe can take in the shock for heavier runners to. I am 5'10', and weigh 175 lb.
I wear a 9,1/2 and the shoes fit true to size. They are actually a bit wider than normal in the Toe box.
I really like these shoes, they really make road running easy on the body (I train mostly on narrow trails in the woods or out in the desert)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Addition- after 8 months of use.
Just switched to my next pair of shoes, NB 890, which are amazing.
these shoes served as a secondary pair for me as I ran most of the period in trail shoes. the shoe held out rather well. the heel support is amazing on this shoe, if that is waht you are looking for. I am not, I land on my midfoot mostly. the front of this shoe is slightly wider than most shoes, and lost much of its cushioning recently. That said, i am training for a marathon and the shoes have definetly served me through many more miles than most users will ever demand from their shoe.
All in all, good shoe if you need support and are run at a medium pace.

Another excellent pair.Apr 25, 2011
By Ron I've never had a bad pair of Asics. I got this model, the GT -2150, at a very reasonable price, and they are absolutely great. I put in 25-30 miles during the week plus another 10-13 on the weekend. I've tried the Nikes, the Brooks, the Sauconys etc. but the Asics simply feel great and are my all time favorite running shoe.
