Amazing BootsJan 21, 2011
By Gregorian I have nothing but good things to say about these boots! I can confirm that you need to order them a FULL size smaller than your normal shoe size. I was a bit skeptical of buying a size smaller because I am hesitant to trust other people on the internet who may or may not know what they're talking about but it was completely true. I bought a full size smaller and they fit great immediately. I have another pair of Ariats that I wear my normal size in and they fit fine, but trust me-- this particular boot runs large! This boot has a shorter "shaft" (teehee) than most boots but all of the stitching is on the outside so there will be no annoying stitching rubbing against your leg. When you first get them they don't appear to be "roughed" or "pre-worn" but somehow they are made that within a week of lightly wearing them, they appeared as if I had them a while already. The leather kind of roughs itself up (in a good way though). They are also very comfortable and require little to no break in time. Another thing is the shoe size is listed with a suffix of either D(M) or 2E. D(M) is normal width whereas 2E is the WIDE version so make sure you choose accordingly to your foot width. I want to buy another pair of these just in case Ariat quits selling them!!!

Ariat Rambler Boot ReviewDec 30, 2010
By Kevin French I received these last night and am wearing them today. As many reviewers cautioned, I ordered these a half size smaller than normal and ordered them wide. The reviews paid off. They fit well. Like one previous reviewer stated, the arch support feels very high. Not a bad thing for feet these days, but it will take a little getting used to. Other than that, they wear well out of the box. I tried them on last night and knew I could wear them all day as they felt broken in already.
As far as color, I have looked at these boots on many different websites. Don't expect them to look exactly like the Amazon picture. Focus on the word "Earth" in the color name and realize that they may come in a more natural, worn looking shade. No complaints here, but fortunately I shopped around and had an idea as to what to expect.
One last thing I want to point out, and what the previous review beat me to. The seams are all on the outside of the boot so it is very comfortable and super tall socks are non a requirement.
If you order these, I expect that you will enjoy them as I do.

Great boots!Dec 19, 2010
By Shane@PrimalLens These are great boots they look fantastic. Super comfortable with zero need for break in. I can confirm they run large. And maybe narrow. I went with wide.

Men's Ariat Rambler BootsApr 29, 2010
By Joseph Mark Doyle These boots are awesome! Very comfortable & very stylish! I recommend a FULL size less then normal shoe size. I am 5'6, athletic build, with typical size 8.5 shoe. I got size 7.5 and they are perfect. I was wary of buying a full size lower, but a size 8 would have been to big for sure.

Good Pair of bootsSep 13, 2011
By Riley First off if you are planing on buying a pair listen to everyone else, buy a size smaller! I took everyone's advice and I still have wiggle room which is okay during the winter time when I wear my Thick wool socks.
Aside from the size, the boots are great, however, I have one minor complaint with the fact that the shaft of the boot that covers your shin is soft leather, it doesn't keep its form like you see in the picture, essentially it'll flop over to one side or the other which is great if you are packing these in a suit case.
I would recommend a water proof agent on these or use a Clear water proof wax because its always a good addition on to your new boots.
Final comment, I gave this a 4 star because of the soft leather shaft, shipping was excellent, otherwise it's a great boot, better price than in the mall (At the time I bought these) just remember the size adjustment, water proofing, and enjoy.
