Not what I expect from Ariat...Nov 05, 2009
By Melissa Between my daughter and I, we have owned many, many pairs of Ariat shoes and boots. This is the first pair that we are not happy with. After less than a week of daily wear (2-3 hours/day), the seam has torn. I have contacted Ariat for replacement, but they have not responded. The boots are comfortable and still wearable, but of course no longer water repellent - which is necessary when wearing these to work in our barn. I have 5 year old Ariat women's Terrain boots which have been covered in mud, snow, and ice - but have no tears and can look like new when (if) I clean them up. Another friend has had problems w/Ariat products, but I thought it was just a fluke. We'll see if they respond and replace these boots. If not - on to another brand...

Great barn bootSep 26, 2010
By Shy Turk

I purchased these because I thought they would make a great all-purpose barn boot. After reading reviews that they ran a little large; I went with a size 5.5. Normally I wear a six but didn't want to depend on wearing thick socks to make up room. Perfect choice! They fit just right and being leather count on a little stretch. I used to wear Danskos to the barn and change into paddock boots for riding. Now I just slip these on before heading to the barn. These boots are durable enough to allow for mucking stalls and bathing your horse yet similar to a paddock boot to allow for riding and running errands afterward. I can't recommend these boots enough!!

Good Looking Boots Constructed to FailApr 29, 2011
By NSW Girl These boots were the worst footwear investment I've made. Great looking and fantastically comfortable, they've completely failed after less than a year - just one Australian spring and summer, in fact.
The stitching has broken, the leather has developed a hole across the widest part of the foot, the membrane across the toe has frayed and lifted, the cuff around the top of the boot has quite literally shredded on both boots.
The zip is fine and the sole is fine. Ironically, beneath my foot they remain the most comfortable boots I've owned, it's just a shame the materials and construction of the rest of the boots are so utterly useless.
You'll be thrilled to start with, but if you wear your boots as regularly as I do (I live in them when I'm working), you'll be bitterly disappointed. Such a shame that a huge reputable brand can turn out a failure like this.

My only shoe!Jan 24, 2010

The fact that I only have one pair of shoes at the front door these days is all I need to say. I slip into these boots to walk to the mailbox or take a hike, go to town for errands or attend an event, go to the garden to pick veggies or take the compost out to the pile. They're a little roomier than a size 8 usually is, and my feet have become smooth and soft--calluses have vanished!

Love this boot!Sep 18, 2011
By Maureen I love this boot! I have a high arch and can't get into most boots. The side zip solved that problem. I've worn the boots for a month now and quality and comfort are very good. I read the boot runs large. I bought my size and with a sock the fit is good. The brown is a yummy dark chocolate color. Dirt and dust wipe off with a damp cloth. Styling is good enough that I could wear these boots away from the barn:-).
