This is my second pair of the moss/olive Blundstone boots. I just love my Blundstones. I now have four pairs... (one original, two moss and one safety boot).
I travel very often. Every month I am in another part of the world. Two weeks ago I did the "moon walk" in Bergen, Norway wearing my 550 Moss Blundstones. A four hour hike on top of the mountains, in the night (but with enough daylight to see). Not a single blister. Walking through some mud/ponds. Not a drop of water came through (I treated them a while ago with a waterproofing product). And the next morning they looked good again, after I brushed off the dried mud. It is not as good as a hiking boot as far as the ankle lateral stability is concerned, but for occasional small hikes, it does the job. I like to travel light and this boot is the perfect one for me.
Last year I took them to walk in the desert in North Africa. I loved it. No sand came in.
I live in Quebec. We get cold winters with lots of snow. Love to wear my Blundstones. And it is so quick to put them on and to remove them (very convenient, especially if you carry your child in your arms...)
Those boots are super comfortable. I can be on the plane for 10 hours. Don't feel the need to remove them. And they are so light that it barely adds weight in my suitcase.
I bought a second pair a few weeks ago, since this model is not available in Canada anymore.
I think I will order another pair just in case... or maybe two more pairs... I ordered from Amazon's US website. Great service, great prices (cheaper than in Canada, even if you include the shipping costs).

My third pair of blundstones...the 552 i had for several days when i got caught in light rain, water exposure, etc. the boots spotted all over when dried. I brushed out and applied water repel but the spots are all over toe box of new boots. I have two pairs of 500/550 that have been buried in mud visiting Tingo Mario and buffed out for dinner. I am disappointed in the spotting for such a durable product...even though its treated suede..would not recommend for FLORIDA. AMOUT
