Well made, but not for hilly/rocky terrain.Sep 24, 2010
By Michael Steele Boots are well made and durable. Soles are very rigid, and not suitable to the kind of hiking I do. Would probably work really well in muddy terrain, but too rigid for rocky, hilly terrain. Also very warm and not breathable, so if you live somewhere hot, save these for winter. I have a pair of Danner Vanish boots with 400 gram Thinsulate linings that are cooler in the North Alabama summer than these. I still love them, even though they're not made for the hiking I do.
Good value for a mid-level hiking bootNov 10, 2011
By Richard W. Moczygemba This is a good mid-level hiking boot. Not for the hardcore hiker, but for someone like me who goes hiking every now and then in terrain that has rough spots, I like them. They offer very good foot and ankle support with good traction and protection from the elements. I doubt I could have found anything better for the price.
