Getting ready to spend a summer hiking about the vast unruly lands in the Southwest my husband and I bought these boots in his and hers styles. Overall we very much love them! Heeding some advice, we bought these boots a little bigger than we needed so we could accommodate the swelling that feet do throughout a day of walking/hiking. And since I have very sensitive toe nails that practically jump off at a rumor of trauma, I've been keeping a close eye on how they react to these boots. So far they're all intact!! They have proven waterproof so far, however one of the little metal insignia that are punched into the boots have fallen out leaving a hold about 3 mm in diameter - I'll try to find something to patch it later - but am disappointed that I'd have to patch $150 boots so soon. The only other thing that I don't like is that they bruise the backs of my ankles where the top of the boot meets them. Its not so bad that i can't wear them all day, but at night i can certainly tell that I've been wearing my Danners again.

Had these for 2 years now. They did bruise for a few months at the top back but now after a few more months do not bruise. They've molded to my feet and with only thin CoolMax socks my feet stay very comfortable even in 20F weather and snow and they also don't seem to be too hot in warmer weather. I've had to re-waterproof them but for the hard wear I give them it's expected. Even when the waterproofing wears off my feet stay generally dry in spite of the sides of the shoe showing dampness. Plenty roomy for toes and ankle protection. The soles have great traction. At first I felt like they were too bulky but turns out I needed a very sturdy shoe and this is it. I'd buy this brand again especially for winter boots.

These boots are not very comfortable, and they are quite heavy/"clunky".
I had them for only about a year, and spent about $140 on them at Cabela's. They have slowly started to lose their waterproofing, and when it rained, I came home from work with extremely soggy feet. Not fun.
