Good Pair of BootsJan 13, 2011
By J. Perez I haven't taken a lot of time to write reviews before, but for a quick thought on these boots here is what is what for the "LaCrosse Men's 10" Brawny II 800g Thinsulate Hunting Boot". The boots came pretty quickly after I ordered them and select "super saver shipping", it took around 4-5 days from the shipper. I got them in and immediatly tried them on, they fit like they were supposed to and were pretty comfortable at a glance. Since then I have worn them every time we have gotten snow and they perform like a champ, (i got the boots past my hunting season so i hope they will last until then and after) the rubber sole is soft but not too giving, and very quite. The boots are very hot while in doors but very comfortable out doors, they give great support and i hope hold up under extensive use... over all great boot
here are some "cons" for all the negative people... the boots are hot and so under alot of movement could make your feet sweat alot, so if you plan on trecking alot during hunting i suggest buying some really good socks meant to wick all of that sweat away from your foot so you don't freeze while sitting in a tree. The boots hold the snow and mud so if you walk through a bog or snow pound out the bottoms before you really have to use your tread on the soles. The soles sometimes are a little too soft and so can give you a sense of slipping, so until you get used to them don't panic and do a river dance trying not to fall on ice.
Overall these are great boots, of course I have only had them for a little over a month and have worn them less than a couple weeks (off and on due to the weather). When I get these broke-in i will write again if they fall apart or loose any of the properties that are advertised.
(update 12/27/11) well the boots held up last winter and i got to use them while hunting this past season (not as much as i would have liked too but still got to go out). again they performed like a champ and in my opinion are still a great buy. still recommend to buy some wool socks or some that are specially made for hunting boots and cold climate.

They run narrowOct 15, 2011
By NOTHAPPY I ordered these boots size 12 wide. I wear a size 11 1/2 medium width shoe. I figured I would go 1/2 size larger and extra wide. The boots I received said size 12 wide but they were way to tight. I was impressed with the construction, the sole, the lacing etc. Very nice looking boot but be aware - they run small.

so far so goodMay 12, 2011
By freakna they are comfy, warm but not to warm. im one of those people who will sweat like a pig in the dead of winter so 800 grams seem to be the right number for me. so far ive had them for a month. once a week i do a warm up of about 10 miles. 70% marsh 10% river rock and then last 20% a 90 dagree incline of dry, hard and rocky. they are great in marshy, didnt slip at all skippy from boulder to boulder even tho tread was wet. dry hard surfice it worked but defently waffle tred works better. now the true test is how many months they can survive but winter is done, soon summer is comming wich meens i wont be able to finish this. i did notice some strings coming undone but that just meens possible that bad may happen and not a defenet. so far 4 stars is accuret. update. winter lasted 2 months longer and im sad to say there 4 cracks along the bottom of my boots. very disapointed. they survived about 6 months. i guess all and all that ant to bad.

Good boots.Jun 10, 2010
By Arturo Nuno Got here in a day thanks to prime. They look a bit cheap out of the box (they are though. One of my buddies' pair cost him like two hundred bucks, and I can only imagine how much more expensive they can be. For a good pair that is.) Anyways I use them on the weekends when I'm working outside. They are super padded starting at the talon down. They don't feel too hot even with hot weather but I might just be used to it. They rock in rainy weather. I didn't step in any puddles deeper than three inches though, keep that in mind I guess. They fit snug and are very, very comfy for boots. I wear them when I go downtown too. They make me approximately one to two inches taller and at 5'4'' I welcome it. All in all I've only owned cheap boots and these are the most expensive boots I've ever bought but the quality does show. Oh and they aren't steel toed and I think they are very light which is a plus for me. I don't hunt so I can't say how well they stand up to that, sorry I just really like mossy oak camo. (if that's even what you call it)
gonna buy them again if they're still available when these crap out on me. Half a year so far and still going strong. Will update with any rips, holes, etc. That they may get.
So far, so goodJan 05, 2012
By BCR I purchased these boots sight unseen and when they arrived, I was a little shocked they were more rigid and needed breaking in. These boots are uber light, comfortable, warm and a good track for muddy conditions. Unfortunately I haven't used these in the woods yet but my assumption is they'll be a great asset to my hunt.
