I've have a great pair of iceman boots I've used every Wisconsin winter since 1988, my wife has a pair she's used for +10 years, so when my 9 year old son was ready for some new boots, and because he has a younger brother, I figured these boots would get double duty. They are bulky, but manageable. They are very warm, durable and water-proof. When he grows out of them, He'll get new ones and his brother will get these.
