LaCrosse Burly Classic Boot - bulky but comfortableOct 01, 2009
By David L. Luckhardt
"thornezilla"
I use these boots for boating and shoreline access, as well as some hiking in the woods. Foot section is bulky and looks like an insulated boot, but stays comfortable even in warm temperatures. Traction is a decent compromise between functional tread depth and not holding clay or mud. Take care in rough country as rubber can be punctured, causing leaks.

By kevin charles bought to replace some cheaper versions from bass pr* these are so lightweight it feels like slippers only complaint was does not have lip on back to help pull off and what is it with the yellow line on top? prefer green all the way to the top for concealment other wise will buy again
solid bootsMay 09, 2012
By J. Carlson I purchased these boots to replace a pair of burlys that were quite old; they had cracked along the top of the foot near the ankle. My husband uses them to slosh through the hilly woods on particularly soggy days as well as for wading in streams. I am told they are completely waterproof, quite comfy, have awesome traction and the fit is mostly true to size. They maybe run a fraction big, so to be a perfect fit when wearing thick socks. He's very happy with these boots. My father has been wearing LaCrosse boots for as long as I can remember and these latest boots continue in the tradition. I didn't give them a 5 for a purely girlie minor detail. I think some people might roll their eyes now, but here goes, they smell bad. Despite the advertising that they are scent free, it took a couple weeks of airing out to get rid of the rubber boot smell. It doesn't matter so much for us, but if you are planning to use them for hunting I would recommend buying them early so that they have time to lose that smell. Otherwise they are perfect!
Good boot, but bulkyJan 21, 2012
By Dusty If you need a good around the yard or hunting boot, this will do - but hey are a bit bulky. If you are looking for something a little more stylish and easier to wear around town, like Hunter Wellingtons, I suggest you get a pair of Hunters. I did. And they are much more dapper and comfortable for walking around.
Excellent bootsNov 17, 2011
By Michael Jursic I love these boots. They're nice and high, and they hug my foot nicely. I have a very high instep, and there's no pinching, so it's a good happy medium. Only thing is, I find the heel a bit narrow, and it required a bit of practice to walk on. Other than that, five full stars. Also, here in downtown Toronto, I've gotten more than a few compliments on the way they look. All in all, the best rubber boots I've ever owned.
