Light and balanced, but might eat up your heals.Mar 25, 2009
By natataka I do allot of camping, near rivers and lakes, so i needed a pair of water shoes. i ran across this and the price was less than others. The shoe fit is decent, a bit bulky looking. It is light and sturdy. I love the way it channels the water away from your feet, when submerged. While wearing this the whole day, my Achilles heel was getting raw (to the point of ripping skin) from the constant rubbing. I ended up having to put a band aid as cushion. This is my first water shoe and don't know if it's common. This particular one definitely needs more cushion on the back heel and some around the toes. The little toe was starting to get raw, but not as bad as my heel. I don't see this as an all day footwear. It's good for short periods, but don't recommend all day affairs.

hiking creeksJun 07, 2010
By Robert Duane Nickols I bought these to hike in creeks as well as on trails. They are a little snug for the size so I am trying to streach them. The information said true fit so I thought they would fit and not be a little to small so keep that in mind when you order them.

Great water shoe that looks like a normal shoeAug 19, 2010

This is a great water shoe that you can wear as a normal shoe as well. I wore these to hike up the Dunns River Falls in Jamaica and I'm glad I did. These shoes gripped the slick rocks well and stayed tight on my feet. The sole inserts are light, spongy and full of holes which feel like you are walking on air. Until it gets filled with rocks from the bed of the river, of course, but then inserts are easy to remove and just dump out. I would definitely recommend these over a regular water shoe or aquasock that have nothing but a layer of rubber between you and the ground. These actually have an air-filled shock absorber in the heels and metal mesh in between the treads which allow water to flow through the soles as well as the top and sides so you are never hydroplaning. Very durable and comfortable shoe. Just don't plan on wearing it for more than a couple hours, though, because the edges of the mouth of the shoe curve inward around your ankle and rub you raw after a lot of walking. The rims are hardened to shape the shoe but the back of the shoe is not adjustable so it is always tight against your ankle.
Not much use yet but can comment on sizeAug 19, 2010
By K. Wiseman I have barely worn the shoes so far so I'll reserve performance/comfort feedback for another time. I can however tell you that they do run a bit small. Mine are marked size US 10 but the Euro size is 43. Every other size US 10 in my house has a Euro 44 marking. The fit reflects that difference as well so I'd say they easily run a good 1/2 size small for sure just as the Euro size suggests.
