Great Fit for Narrow Heel, Tough & DurableOct 20, 2008

I do a lot of walking -- sometimes in rough terrain -- every day and use my feet to move piles of dirt frequently too. These boots hold up well with the tread wearing off before other things go. I have gone through several pairs in the past 3-4 years.
The best thing about them for me is that the fit my somewhat "duck-shaped" feet (wide at the ball, narrow at the heel) in a way that few other shoes/boots do. (I have had to give up X-C skiing because I can't find shoes that don't give heel blisters.) I can't tell how well they would fit someone with a wide heel but the design of the boot heel seems to be quite accommodating.

My Wolverine Rainier II boots are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, which is why I have one pair to work in, one pair for casual wear and the 8" high boots for winter wear. Obviously I would recommend these boots to anyone seeking a quality boot that is amazingly comfortable.

Ordered to replace a pair of Cabela's boots several years old & worn out, identical specs & size. Fit great first time on, no issues on a break-in period, long hikes out of the box just fine. Waterproof works great since I haven' mastered the "walking on water" part yet.
