5My fourth pair of New Balance shoesMar 31, 2010
By SoCal Triathlete
This is my fourth pair of NB shoes that I've owned and probably my most comfortable yet. My first three pairs were 769's and they all worked great. I'm a distance runner, so when I decide to buy a new pair of shoes, it usually means my last pair is absolutely shot. I went shopping for another pair of 769's when I saw the MR760 had been recently released. Maybe the styling isn't for everyone, but I find them to be very attractive and prefer the aggressive styling compared to the 769's.

I find them quite comfortable to walk and run in on the paved roads where I live. I have flat feet, so with my orthotic inserts in place, they feel VERY stable. It's really a great feeling to have my feet being the least sore part of my body after a run. This is my fourth month using these and they still look fairly new on the top, and are showing normal wear on the soles. These were cheaper on the New Balance website at the time I purchased them, but it looks like they're a bit cheaper here on Amazon right now. Overall, I will likely be buying these again when my current pair wears out.

5comments on 769/760 men's NB running shoeOct 09, 2010
By C.Serdar
I have been running in the men's NB 769, varying model numbers but same construction, for over 6 years. I buy two pairs every six months and rotate them daily. I wear 11B am 6 foot and 200 lbs. I run every day 3.5-5 miles 7:00-8:00 pace and have been running over 35 years. This are the best brand and shoe model for the price that I have ever run in. With narrow feet and high arches the shoe fits like a glove- perfect, supports my foot and prevents me from getting sore feet. Prior to 7 years ago tried Nike and other brands, none come close to this shoe. I will wear these the rest of my life.

5On my 5th pair and keep coming backAug 19, 2010

I run 20-35 miles/week and keep coming back to these. I have flat feet and supinate; these are great stability running shoes that are also light and breathe well. I get about 200-250 miles out of them before it's time for a new pair. I've had Brooks, Mizuno, etc, but as I said, I keep coming back to these. Good value, too.

3not true-to-size, too largeAug 24, 2010
By Alan
I ordered size 13EE of this shoe. It did not seem true-to-size to me. I normally try to have about a thumb-width of space between my big toe and the end of the shoe. This shoe had about one and a half thumb-widths of space. It is longer than four other size 13 shoes I compared it to: Mizuno Wave Renegade 3, Saucony Guide 3, Brooks Trance, and New Balance 856. I will be returning the shoe, but I am likely to re-order a half size smaller. It felt pretty good and seemed likely to be a good running shoe. One of my reasons for buying this model is that I have very flat feet and the arches in most shoes are too high for me. The pair I tried on did have a very low arch and I'm pretty sure it will feel good when I start running in a smaller size. I recommend buying a pair at a local store where you can make sure you get the right fit. If you like the shoe, you can order subsequent pairs at the better online price. I am looking forward to getting the correct size so that I can test this shoe on a run.

4great basic running shoeDec 25, 2010
By Bruce Wulkan "Bruce W"
this is my first pair in a couple years, and i really like them. they offer a lot of support, so if you're looking for a very light pair, there are lighter shoes out there. but if you're looking for a reasonably light shoe, lots off support, and great NB comfort, these are hard to beat. Note that they run a little big sizing wise.
