5Best ShoesSep 30, 2010
By J. Bockman "Shoe Lover"
First off, I have tired many, many different shoes and these by far feel the best. I tired MBT's, which are good but too soft and way too expensive. I then bought the orginial Skechers Shape ups and they felt a lot like the MBT's, good but makes you feel unsteady on normal floors and down right dangerous on uneven terrian. Shape-ups all terrian is the best comprise of cushion and steady. I never feel like I am going to fall and I do not have any pain in my knees. I am so pleased with them, that I just ordered a second pair.

5Great shoe for injured bodiesJan 05, 2011

I bought this shoe ten days ago. I bought the black with yellow trim at a chain store; the only color that they had. It looks better on than off. I was feeling bad at the time of purchase. My extremely flat feet hurt, my knees ached, and my back wasn't too good either. Over the years, it has become a normal event for me to have at least some pain. When I tried these shoes on and tested them against another pair of Shape-ups, my knees stopped aching. I put on my old shoes and bought the ATs. While at the register paying for them, my knees started to ache again. Since wearing them, my knees have stopped aching all together, my back is better, and my stride is back to younger days with much better posture. I injured a foot last spring. It has given me problems ever since. Wearing other shoes seemed to re-injure the foot. After wearing these shoes, I hardly know my foot was injured. I thought that I would never be able to hike our mountains again near Seattle at age 61. I just couldn't walk well enough anymore and shuffled like an old man. I have improved so much that I now believe that I will be taking long hikes again soon.

I did have to get used to the feeling of imbalance during standing, but who cares. I love these shoes. I couldn't say that about any other shoe that I have ever worn. My wife loves them too. She proceeded to buy three pairs to my one. A runner is being shipped to her at this time. Others who own the SRR report great comfort in their runs inspite of their injuries.

5They work, period.Dec 25, 2010

These are not that trendy compared to the Under Armor's and the Adidas's, but they look great, are better made than they are by far, and they are a comfortable way to stay in shape when the gym is hard to reach.

5might be the one for youDec 25, 2010

ive had this sneaker now for a month and find it to be very easy on your sole...its like walking on foam rubber.....the shape of the shoe forces you to walk different though...it probably isnt for everyone as I find it puts alot of strain on the calf....im hoping my calf adjusts to this pressure....if the sole of the sneaker had a little less arc (curve) it might be even better...maybe they should make several different models....so you can gradually get used to the change....

5Skecher Men's Shape Ups All Terrain (AT)Jun 08, 2011

Delivery took 1 week for Standard "Free" shipping (CA to GA) via UPS Ground. Ordered from SHOEBUY (via Amazon).

These shoes are great. The AT's are definitely designed for walking (for me, the AT's are built for "trail-type" walking vice running - shoes are definitely too heavy for running). Bought these shoes to 1. Walk my dog; and 2. I wanted to personally find out what all the hype was regarding the "Shape Up" design.

These shoes are great for walking my dog. There is definitely something about the "Shape-Up" design. I feel that I am exercising additional leg muscles while walking in the Skechers than my other pair of walking shoes (New Balance) - it took me about one week to get adjusted to walking with the Skechers - I now alternate between the New Balance and the Skechers for my daily walk with my dog. Not sure if I am burning up more calories, but for sure I am using additional leg muscles with the Skechers. For me, the Skechers fit true to size. I am flat footed and normally replace the stock shoe insert with an after market orthotic - I did not need one with the Skecher AT's.

I would definitely recommend these to my friends for walking, and I will definitely buy again.
